Piano Teaching Technology Workshop November 16th

 

Join Roland clinician Serena Mackey and Rockley Music Center for an exciting and innovative workshop titled "Getting the Most Out of Your Method Books".  Learn how to integrate MIDI orchestrations into your teaching to enhance the learning experience.  This is a "Hands On" workshop with no prior experience required!  Coffee and registration begin at 9:00 am and the workshop starts at 9:30 am.  Finish up at 1:00 pm with a light lunch!  Click here for more information. Print Music End of Year Spot the Dot Sale!

Starting November 5th, shop the sale music at 30%, 50% and 70% off!  We are getting rid of overstock and a wealth of wonderful titles in all print music departments.  Take advantage of the discounts to save!  In December, all remaining 30% off titles move to 50% off and in January all remaining sale music will be 70% off!  At the end of January, Rockley Music will be donating all remaining sale music to the musician victims of Hurricane Katrina.

LOCAL MTA NEWS:  Denver Area Music Teachers Association held their annual Halloween Spookathon on October 29th at Common Grounds Coffee House at 32nd and Lowell in Northwest Denver.  Participating students collect pledges several different ways to raise money for the Sally Manion and Marcia Mounsey Memorial foundations.  The kids come in costume and play music with the overall theme, "Music is for Everyone".  See the pictures below!  A big thanks to Jan Romero for organizing the event and to the DAMTA Community Outreach Committee (Kristin Jordheim, Carol Rankin, and Collette St. Claire).  Thanks to DAMTA president Nancy Harris and treasurer Sheila Hamaker who spent the whole day Saturday making sure the event ran smoothly.
